The Bluebird Hibiscus is a vigorous, deciduous shrub that produces loads of lavender-blue and burgundy flowers from midsummer to frost. The 3-5 in., showy flowers attract bees, butterflies and hummingbirds. Growing 6-8 ft. tall, Bluebird Hibiscus, also called a Rose of Sharon, makes an impressive specimen plant. This low-maintenance plant is an excellent flowering shrub for planting in groups as a privacy screen or flowering hedge. Deer tend to avoid. Grows best when planted in full sun to partial shade. Zones 4-9.
