Spartacus Hybrid Asparagus Plant

Well-Adapted, Productive Variety

  • All-male hybrid
  • Attractive, purple-tinged tips
  • High yields
As you'd expect with a name like Spartacus, this robust variety consistently delivers long (9+ in.), straight spears of medium thickness. Crowned with purple-tinged tips of outstanding quality, it's a tremendous alternative to the old Jersey lines, producing a higher yield and improved genetics. 100% male hybrid is well adapted to cold winters and warm summers—and won't go seedy, despite its size. PP30712. This variety is protected under U.S. Patent No. US15/732,433.
