Potatoes, red beets, carrots and onions--that is, root crops--need a special formula to help them grow. Other veggie fertilizers won't work as well, since these root vegetables need extra phosphorus and potassium, but much less nitrogen, which can cause poor crops and, in the case of potatoes, high levels of potentially toxic glycoalkaloids. Fortunately, we created this all-natural formula with root vegetables in mind. In our garden trials, plants fed with Root Crops Alive!™ produced 57% more potatoes by weight!
