Pixie Crunch® Apple Tree

Sweeter than 'Honeycrisp'

Garden Talk
Listen to why this is Niles' favorite.
  • Crisp with mouthwatering flavor and juiciness
  • Taste-test winner
  • Easier to grow than Honeycrisp
  • Matures in late August
  • Handles late frost better than other varieties
  • Available in Reachables size

A beautiful super-sweet apple unparalleled for fresh eating–just one bite and we guarantee you'll agree! The tantalizingly juicy fruits pack a delightful, crunchy crispness and mouth-watering flavor and were the best-tasting apple in our trials. Pixie Crunch possesses excellent fresh eating quality, and the apples' delectable sweetness works wonders in no-sugar pies and baked goods which cook up tender every single time. Their wonderful sweet taste makes them a favorite with kids who have chosen them over candy and sweets! Standard size trees will start producing dependable annual yields in their third year. Pixie Crunch isn't just sweeter than Honeycrisp, it's also easier to grow. The trees mature in late August and can handle late frosts much better than other apple varieties. 600-800 chill hours are required for a successful harvest. Zones 5-8. PP13871.

Now available in Reachables size! A Reachables tree produces full-sized fruits on a smaller tree. It's easier to fit into your garden or orchard, even a container will do fine! Thanks to state-of-the-art rootstock technology, these trees remain manageable throughout their life cycle, so a single person can prune, spray, net and harvest the tree, all while standing on the ground. No ladders required! Note: Because the full-sized fruits grow on smaller sized trees, Reachables require a tree support.

NOTE: We are unable to ship our trees to PO Boxes at this time.
