Chase away the winter blues with Double-Flowered Hellebores. This colorful mix includes lavender, white, yellow, pink, red or green flowers, our choice. Some of the first flowers of the year, hellebores, sometimes called Lenten Roses, open in late winter to early spring, sometimes peeking through the snow. For a beautiful indoor display, cut a few flowers and float in a bowl of water. Growing 12-15 in. tall, these shade perennials have evergreen, glossy foliage. Deer tend to avoid. For best performance, plant in full to partial shade. Zones 4-9.
