Some of our favorites for snacking! Autumn Bliss Everbearing Raspberry plant produces very large, attractive berries with a fine, mild flavor. They're excellent for eating fresh, in desserts and preserves. One of the best red raspberry plants for growing in the Lower South (Zone 8), Autumn Bliss can be grown in Zones 9–10 as an annual. (In Zones 9–10, plant in the spring and harvest in the fall, over an extended harvest period.) Fruit quality is improved over Heritage Raspberry, and Autumn Bliss produces fewer root suckers than Heritage. Resists root rot. Zones 6–8. PP6597.

  • Depth:Dig a hole large enough to accommodate the roots without bending them, plant with the crown at soil level. Firm well and water in thoroughly.

  • Soil Requirements: Tolerant of a wide range of soil types, but will be best in a well-drained, humus-enriched soil.
  • Growth Rate: Fast once established, which takes approximately 3 - 5 weeks.
  • Pruning: Thin fruiting canes in late Winter or early Spring before they start to grow. Remove all weak canes and thin the strong canes so they are 4 - 6 inches apart over the width of the row; narrow rows if necessary to 15 - 18 inches wide.
  • Foliage: Dark green, rough textured, compound leaves.
