Low-maintenance perennials add color and charm to woodland gardens, native plant gardens and naturalized areas. Native to the United States, spiderwort's 1-in., three-petaled flowers open in clusters atop sword-shaped leaves. Spiderwort Plant Mix is a random mix of white with blue centers, red-purple, china blue, white and purple violet. These easy-to-grow perennials will bloom continuously all summer long into fall. The plants grow 18-30 in. tall and require very little attention. For best performance, plant in partial shade. Zones 3-9.

  • Depth:Plant with the crown of the plant about 1 inch below the soil surface. Do not plant in the foreground. Requires some shading in hot, dry climates.

  • Light Required:Full Sun, Partial Shade
  • Color: A mix of white with blue centers, red-purple, china blue, white and purple-violet. Random mix of colors.
  • Size: #1 Bareroot
  • Blooms: Early Summer, Mid Summer, Late Summer, All Summer
  • Zone: 3 - 9
  • Form: Perennial, spiderwort.
  • Flower Form: Flower form, 3 equal obovate petals. One inch blossoms.
  • Soil Requirements: Dry Soil
  • Growth Rate: Vigorous growth. Can be cut back severly for new growth and heavier blooms.
  • Pruning: Removing spent flowers will encourage reblooming. Cut to ground in late Fall or early Spring.
  • Foliage: Dense clumps of erect, rather fleshly stems with linear to lanceolate parrell-viened leaves to 1 foot long in leaflike bracts.
