Product Details

  • Botanical Name: Rheum Rhubarbarum (this is guaranteed to be red rhubarb, it is not a certain cultivar)
  • Height: 24 inches
  • Spacing: 24 inches apart in rows 3 - 4 ft apart
  • Depth: Plant at the same depth as in the pot.
  • Spread: 24 inches
  • Light Required: Full sun to partial shade.
  • Foliage: Green leaves on top of crimson-red stalks.
  • Fruit: Produces ample yields of pleasingly plump, crimson stalks.
  • Zone: 3 - 8 (-50° F.).
  • Flower Form: Flowers that grow in 2 - 6 ft stalks should be removed.
  • Soil Requirements: Well-drained, rich, loamy soil that is fortified with compost or well-rotted manure. PH between 5.0 and 7.0.
  • Pruning: Remove any flower stalks that grow.
