Orange Butterfly Plant

A Butterflies Magnet

  • Bright orange flowers in summertime
  • Grows 2-3 ft. tall
  • Showy cut flower
  • Native to the United States
  • Deer-resistant perennial
Attracts butterflies like crazy! Bright orange flowers open during the summer luring butterflies. The showy flowers are also excellent for fresh-cut floral displays. Seed pods form after the flowering period. Growing 2-3 ft. tall, Orange Butterfly Plant, also called butterfly weed, is one of the showiest native wildflowers and naturalizes well. A great addition to butterfly gardens, meadows and naturalized areas, it looks impressive when planted in drifts or among other plants. This deer-resistant perennial grows best in full sun.
