Illuminate shaded areas with this classic perennial. Old-Fashioned White Bleeding Heart offers all of the charm as the original pink hearts. In the springtime, pendulous racemes up to 9-in. long sway with white, heart-shaped flowers, luring butterflies to visit. Finely dissected, medium green leaves add to the plant's beauty. Old-Fashioned White Bleeding Heart pairs perfectly with other shade-loving perennials, like hosta, ferns or astilbe. Growing 12-18 in. tall, this perennial can be grown in mixed perennial gardens, woodlands or containers. Deer tend to avoid. Performs best in partial to full shade. Zones 2-9.
