Native Milkweed Selections

Butterfly-Friendly Mix

  • Mix of three types of milkweed
  • Host plant for Monarch butterflies
  • Flowers in shades of orange, pink and lemon yellow
  • Drought tolerant, once established
  • Deer tend to avoid
A great mix to add warm color and to attract butterflies to the summer garden. Our Native Milkweed Mix includes three types of milkweed, including tuberosa and incarnata varieties. These native varieties are easy to grow and free flowering, blooming in shades of orange, pink and lemon yellow throughout the summer—and they're the host plant for Monarch butterflies. The flowers and pods also are striking in fresh and dried cut-flower arrangements. Native Milkweed Mix is ideal for perennial gardens, rock gardens and naturalized areas. They're drought tolerant, once established, and deer tend to avoid. Plant in full sun. Zones 4-9.
