A great choice for gardeners with limited space! Unlike many sweet cherry varieties, Lapins Cherry is self-fertile and doesn't require another sweet cherry variety for pollination. That means you can enjoy sweet, sun-ripened cherries, with just one cherry tree. The large, dark red fruits are firm with a purplish-red, sweet flesh. They're great for fresh eating. They're resistant to cracking too. A larger cherry tree, it grows quickly, maturing at 35-40 feet. Like other cherry trees, its blossoms are a sight to behold in the springtime. Developed in Canada, this cold hardy tree requires 650 chill hours. Harvest late season, 1-2 weeks after Bing. Zones 5-9.

We continually monitor weather conditions for extreme hot or cold and adjust shipping schedules as needed. Due to hot weather conditions, we are unable to ship most plant items in July and August. Items that are overweight will require an additional shipping charge depending on weight.

Trees and shrubs are kept in the nursery row until full dormant for optimum stress protection.

In all cases, we choose the fastest, most efficient way to send your orders via the U.S. Postal Service or FedEx. Large orders or large items may be shipped to you in multiple packages.
