Unique meaty flavor.

One of the most widely grown in the South, it has a proven track record of heat- and drought-tolerance. Its meaty flavor is unique (kind of like a baking bean), making it a favorite of many, especially to put in soups. On the recommended variety list of ten State Extension Services , including all eight growing regions of Texas (which very few varieties of any vegetable can claim). Dwarf habit on 1–1½' tall plant. Keeps producing all summer long in clusters close to the central stem (so plants never fall over from the weight). Anthracnose resistant. 66 DAYS.
