Gurney's® Salsa Hybrid Hot Pepper

Liven Up Your Salsa

  • Test-garden favorite
  • Compact plants, excellent yields
  • Sweet flavor with a spicy kick
  • Great substitute for jalapenos
  • Starts green, matures to deep red
Give your salsas and other recipes a memorable flavor! We grow a lot of peppers in our test gardens—and this one had us coming back for more. We just loved how the peppers started with a sweet, juicy flavor and finished with a peppery kick. It 's a great replacement for jalapenos in salsa recipes. Gurney 's Salsa Hybrid Hot Pepper is also a standout in appearance and yields. Bears up to 5-in., dark green chili peppers that ripen to a vibrant, deep red. Fruits have thick walls, seeds that often go to the bottom of the fruit. Compact plants grow 24-30 in. tall and produce high yields of peppers. For best results, start pepper seeds indoors and transplant seedlings outside after the danger of frost has passed. 80-85 DAYS.
