This dwarf, dense evergreen makes a stunning low-maintenance hedge or foundation planting. Growing just 2-4 ft. tall with a similar spread and rounded habit, its evergreen foliage is a striking yellow-golden hue and aromatic too. Native to parts of eastern Canada and the United States, arborvitae is easy to grow and performs best when planted in sunny to partially shaded areas. Our Golden Globe Arborvitae Starter Hedge includes enough plants to create an affordable, lower-growing, good-looking hedge along walkways or borders. Zones 3-7.

  • Pruning: Prune in early spring before new growth occurs.

  • Comments: Attractive round globe shape- maintains its form naturally without much pruning. Dense foliage is a striking golden yellow on the outside of the plant and bright green closer to the interior. Foliage turns slightly darker to bronze during winter months. Fernlike sprays of foliage have an aromatic scent when rubbed or crushed. Will brighten up and spot in your landscape.
