Add fresh peppery flavor and tender, crisp texture to salads with Frisee Endive. Growing in heads, like lettuce, its leaves resemble fern fronds and have lots of forking and a curly appearance. The leaves are green on the outside and paler and more yellow on the inside. Mix with lettuce to add beauty and body to salads—or for a gourmet salad experience, use alone. The heads can grow 6-12 in. tall and 10-12 in. across. Endive is a cool season crop and grows best in most areas in the spring and fall gardens. 50 DAYS.
