Fox Trot Fountain Grass

Bottlebrush plumes dance in the breeze

  • 5-7 in. bottlebrush-type blooms
  • Grows 4-5 ft. tall
  • Blooms mid to late summer
  • Ideal for bouquets
  • Deer tend to avoid
As eye-catching as its namesake dance, Fox Trot Fountain Grass adds months of texture, movement and color to the garden. Smoky purple, pink and red-toned, bottlebrush plumes put on a quite a display when they bloom and dance in the summer breeze. The 5-7 in. long flower spikes also make wonderful fillers in cut-flower displays. The perennial grass's bright green foliage turns golden brown in the fall. Growing 4-5 ft. tall with a similar spread, Fox Trot has a fountain-like habit and can be planted as a focal point or grouped together along a border. Deer tend to pass it by.
