  • Botanical Name: Pyrus calleryana 'Cleveland'
  • Height: 30 feet.
  • Spacing: 10 - 15 feet.
  • Depth: Plant so that stain on trunk is below soil surface.
  • Spread: 15 - 20 feet.
  • Light Required: Full sun.
  • Color: White.
  • Foliage: Glossy green turning bright copper-orange in Fall.
  • Blooms: Early Spring for 7 - 10 days.
  • Fruit: Small russet colored. Persistant. Not edible.
  • Zone: 4 - 8 (-30° F.)
  • Form: Deciduous. Upright, oval.
  • Flower Form: 5 white petals, pinkish stamens; arranged in clusters. Fairly flat.
  • Soil Requirements: Tolerant of most soils including poorly drained and dry. Also tolerant of city pollution.
  • Growth Rate: Medium to fast growth rate. An average of 18 inches per year.
  • Pruning: Prune as needed in winter.
