Gurney’s Garlic Herb Butter

Cozy up with a dessert that captures autumn’s best flavors. Sweet pumpkin and tart apples come together beneath a buttery spiced crumble topping—warm, comforting, and perfect for sharing with family and friends. Delicious on its own or paired with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!

Ingredients:

For the filling:

  • 2 cups pumpkin puree
  • 3 medium apples, peeled and sliced thin
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp nutmeg
  • ¼ tsp ginger
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp flour (to thicken)

For the topping:

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • ½ cup flour
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ cup cold butter, cubed
  • ½ cup chopped pecans or walnuts

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8” x 8” baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, mix pumpkin, apples, brown sugar, flour, and spices. Spread evenly in baking dish.
  3. In another bowl, combine oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nuts. Cut in butter with a fork until mixture is crumbly.
  4. Sprinkle topping evenly over the filling.
  5. Bake 35–40 minutes, until golden and bubbly.
  6. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
