Product Description
- Excellent for borders
- Blooms in late spring to mid-summer
- Deer resistant
- Low-maintenance and easy to grow
- Strong disease resistance
A stylish ombré effect on Pastel Lilas’ petals puts the deepest raspberry-pink coloring right around the brilliant golden stamens. Single to semi-double flowers bloom in late spring to early summer, with sturdy stems that hold flowers upright even in rain. It naturally grows into an upright mound of lush green foliage that stays attractive well into autumn, and as a hybrid variety boasts better disease resistance than herbaceous or tree peony types.
Like all peonies, it performs best in full sun and well-drained soil. Plants naturally die back to the ground or low woody stems in winter, then return stronger each spring. For tidier growth and fewer disease issues, simply clean up spent foliage in fall. While the blooms have a shorter vase life on long stems, they’re beautiful indoors when cut just below the blossom and floated in a shallow bowl.
