A hybrid marvel more than 10 years in the making, Caramel Cocktail makes it easier than ever to grow and enjoy American persimmons at home. Unlike traditional varieties that require a separate pollinator, Caramel Cocktail rewards gardeners with nearly seedless harvests from a single tree.

Its vibrant orange fruits are larger than average and deliver the irresistible caramel-spice flavor that inspired its name. Even more remarkable, the fruits fully ripen and lose their astringency while still hanging on the tree. Traditionally, persimmon lovers had to wait for fruits to soften and drop before enjoying them fresh—but not with Caramel Cocktail.

Once established, this vigorous tree yields an impressive 2-4 bushels of fruit over an extended harvest season from September through December. Own-root trees return true to type if damaged. Grows 35-60 ft tall.
