Most gardeners who've grown zucchini have experienced the monster-sized zucchini—that happens when the dark fruits camouflage with the foliage and grow to mammoth sizes. With Luciana Hybrid Summer Squash, it's easier to spot the fruits. The light gray-green squash is flecked and easier to see than green zucchini—and the fruits have wonderful thin, delicate skins, few seeds and a tender texture. They're excellent grilled, steamed or sautéed. The plants produce bountiful harvests, even in less-than-ideal conditions. Once established, they'll withstand heat and drought. 60-90 DAYS.
