Seed pods form after the flowering period. Growing 2-3 ft. tall, Orange Butterfly Plant, also called butterfly weed, is one of the showiest native wildflowers and naturalizes well. A great addition to butterfly gardens, meadows and naturalized areas, it looks impressive when planted in drifts or among other plants. This deer-resistant perennial grows best in full sun. Zones 4-8.
