Karl Foerster Grass is one of the most reliable and widely used ornamental grasses for the landscape, valued for its strong, upright habit and long-season interest. This clump-forming perennial produces narrow green blades with tall, feathery flower plumes that emerge in early summer and mature to a soft tan, standing beautifully through fall and winter.

Growing 4-5 ft. tall, Karl Foerster adds instant vertical structure to garden beds, borders and landscape designs. Its narrow, non-spreading habit makes it ideal for tight spaces, formal plantings or repeated use in mass plantings for a clean, architectural look. Easy to grow, low maintenance and drought tolerant once established, this grass thrives in full sun and adapts well to a wide range of soils. Cut back in early spring before new growth emerges.
