Firm berries stand up to picking, yet melt in your mouth with sweet-tart flavor. Large berries ripen in late May- early June on 5-ft. bushes. Developed at the University of Saskatchewan, Tundra is exceptionally cold hardy. Best planted in partial to full sun. Plant at least 2 varieties for pollination. Zone 2-8.

Fruit: Elongated blue fruit similar in size and flavor to wild blueberries. Tender berry texture with firmer skin, good for fresh eating and baking. Very easy to harvest.

Flower Form: Small tubular or funnel shaped.
Soil Requirements: Moderately well-drained, moist soil. Mulch with peat moss or aged manure to help conserve soil moisture.
Growth Rate: Moderate
Pruning: Little pruning is needed on bushes younger than five years old, other than removing dead, diseased, or broken branches. For more mature plants, periodically remove older limbs. Ideally, there should be four to six older limbs and a few younger shoots per shrub.
