Tropi Berta Peach

One of the Best August-Ripening Varieties

  • Very large, clingstone fruits
  • Yellow flesh with juicy, firm texture
  • 600 chill hours required
Tropi Berta Peach offers the best attributes of homegrown peaches—large size, beautiful coloring, a firm, melting texture and a sweet flavor with just the right amount of zing. It's quite possibly the best-flavored August ripening peach that we've tried. And, the fruits are wonderful for eating fresh, in fruit salads, made into pies and preserves, canned, and even frozen. This cling-type peach is a great choice for the inland coastal valleys. 600 chill hours required. Ripens in early to mid August. Zones 7-8.
