An easy-care shrub for woodland and moist areas, Ruby Spice Summersweet produces upright spires of densely packed, very fragrant flowers from June to August. Butterflies and bees love it! This deciduous shrub is native to woodlands, wet marshes and stream banks in the United States. Growing 5-6 ft. tall, it naturalizes well and will tolerate shaded conditions. Ruby Spice can be grown as a flowering hedge. It's very pest and disease resistant—and deer tend to pass it by. Zones 4-9.
