Snow in Summer

Perfect Choice for a Low Border or Ground Cover

  • Star-shaped, white flowers
  • Grows 3-6 in. tall
  • Blooms in late spring to early summer
  • Deer-resistant perennial
  • Drought tolerant, once established
A great ground cover for dry, sunny areas! Snow in Summer is a low-growing, mat-forming perennial that grows 3-6 in. tall. In late spring to early summer, clusters of star-shaped, white flowers open above the gray-green foliage. When massed, the blooms look like a snowdrift. The plants will self-seed if the spent blooms are not removed. Snow in Summer spreads quickly and will even cascade over walls. It's drought tolerant, once established, and deer tend to avoid. For the best performance, plant in full sun. Zones 3-7.
