Plant a large grouping of these mesmerizing irises near the roadside, as an anchor variety for perennial beds or in a mixed cutting garden. In early to mid spring, substantial blooms in a unique combination of soft peach and velvety, deep burgundy come into view. Each gorgeous iris bears peach standards accented by rose-pink centers and rich, dark falls. Vibrant tangerine-orange beards add a bit of sparkle and shine to the overall look. This is a magnificent variety that looks amazing in a cottage garden, foundation planting or along sloping areas of the landscape. Reliable bloomer that is easy to maintain, as well as pest- and disease-resistant. Tall, 24-36" plants keep the flowers upright and visible… even from the back of a sunlit border. Zones 4-9.

We continually monitor weather conditions for extreme hot or cold and adjust shipping schedules as needed. Due to hot weather conditions, we are unable to ship most plant items in July and August. Items that are overweight will require an additional shipping charge depending on weight.

Botanical Name: Iris Germanica 'Moroccan Magic'
Height: 24 - 36 Inches
Color: Vivid tangerine beards energize Moroccan Magic's richly colored flowers. Its peach standards are infused with pinkish rose at their midribs. A narrow pink band edges the subtly ruffled rich blackish burgundy falls.

Form: Herbaceous perennial
Flower Form: Flowers are fan-shaped, with three drooping petals called falls and three upright petals called standards. Ruffled.
Soil Requirements: Well-drained soil.
Growth Rate: Moderate growth rate.
Pruning: Remove spent flower stems after blooming. In late fall, cut back foliage to 6 inch fans. Clean plant debris before winter to prevent borers overwintering.
Foliage: Glaucous-green sword-like fans of stiff upright leaves with some dying back in colder climates in winter.
