A great way to extend the iris season! These Mixed Dutch Iris bloom before the Tall Bearded or German Iris. The beardless flowers, in a mix of purple, blue, white or yellow, open in early summer on strong, 18-24 in. stems. This mix is a great choice for planting at the front border where passersby can enjoy the stunning blooms. These garden classics also are ideal for fresh floral arrangements. Bulbs should be planted 4 in. deep in humus-enriched, well-drained soil. Plant in full sun. After the iris bloom, the foliage should be allowed to die down naturally so nutrients can store up for next season's blooms. 6-7 cm bulbs. Zones 3-9.
