These revolutionary, reusable teepees have 18 water-filled cells that envelop tender seedlings in warmth. So you can plant heat-loving varieties, such as tomatoes, cucumbers and melons, early without having to worry about frost and unpredictable spring weather. You'll be picking fresh, delicious produce sooner than any of your neighbors.
I started using these three years ago. They have extended our season by several weeks. Am able to start transplantsaround first week of May as opposed to Memorial Day. Also, I leave them on throughout the season and they help keep the roots alive even after the first frost begins in the fall. I've found the Red color is the best for Tomatoes but also works well on bell pepper plants.

I've had these a couple years and am amazed! We live in the high desert of Nevada by the sand dunes. Yep, lots of sand. And extremely strong winds. Our 1.5 acre is wide open and the western winds come thru like crazy. And we can have snow in May-June :((. I put a tomato cage inside them to anchor against the wind, most of the time it works & saves my toms and peppers. I also use them on my zucchini / melon transplants. An individual little greenhouse. Marvelous!! Thank you:))
These really work

I got these a few years ago and love them. We live in PA so really can't plant tomatoes out until at least mid-May. But with these we put an Early Girl in as much as 6 weeks before normal planting. The last two years we've had ripe tomatoes the first week of July instead of waiting until August! They do get a lot of condensation on the inside so we take them off when temps are warmer then put them back on at night, but we've even had our plants survive spring snows. Awesome!
