Its vigorous vines produce plenty of smooth, straight pods with the rich, old-fashioned Kentucky Wonder taste, only sweeter. The pods rarely develop strings, even at the mature stage. Kentucky Blue is a good bean for eating fresh, canning or freezing. Like other pole beans, Kentucky Blue requires a trellis or some type of support.
