Early Blue™ Honeyberry

The Better Blue Berry!

Described by our research team as 'blueberries with an attitude', these blue beauties are jam-packed with wonderful sweet tart flavor and none of the bitterness often encountered in other varieties. Early Blue is one of the earliest of all honeyberries, ripening just ahead of strawberries in late May-June. Because they are early ripening there are virtually no pests or diseases that bother the fruit, so no sprays are needed. They are not picky about soil pH and are quite easy to grow. Bushes grow 2- to 3- ft. tall with an equal spread and feature attractive bluish-green foliage. Best fruiting in partial to full sun. Plant at least 2 varieties for pollination. Bareroot. Zones 3-8.
