Gupton Southern Highbush Blueberry

Resistant to Late-Season Frost!

Here's a robust berry that stands up to whatever Mother Nature dishes out. Pretty, light blue berries cover the sturdy plant and ripen early for a season full of delicious sweetness. Medium to large fruit is firm and resistant to rain-induced splitting and cracking, making it a lovely addition to luscious fruit salads and refreshing yogurt parfaits. The 5-6 ft. plant flowers later than many of its low-chill contemporaries, giving it greater resistance to late frosts. A heavy yield producer, Gupton delivers enough berries for fresh eating, baking and freezing. Self-pollinating, but yields are greater if planted alongside another Southern Highbush variety, such as O'Neal or Sunshine Blue. Zones 6-9.
  • Zone 6-9
  • Height 5-6 ft
  • Light Required Full sun.
