  • Botanical Name: Chionodoxa forbesii
  • Height: 4 - 5 inches
  • Spacing: 3 inches
  • Depth: 3 inches. Pointed end up.

  • Sun/Shade: Partial shade
  • Color: Gentian-blue with a prominent white center.
  • Foliage: Dark green leaves are narrow, thick and stiff. Dies back after flowering.
  • Blooms: Very early Spring for 1 - 3 weeks.
  • Form: Groundcover
  • Flower Form: Petals are united at the base of each bloom and the flattened filaments form a cup in the center of each flower.
  • Soil Requirements: Well-drained, loose soil.
  • Growth Rate: Moderate growth rate. Should grow to full height and bloom first season.
