Excellent disease resistance for the South.

This beautiful hybrid tea rose has the disease resistance of a shrub coupled with the bloom form of an elegant exhibition rose. Tall and stately, this AARS winner shows off shapely soft pink blossoms atop long stems with glossy green leaves. Named to honor the 100th birthday of the breeder of the famous Peace rose. U.S. Patent No. 19970.

  • Flower Form: Medium to large, up to 4-5" (10-12 cm) in diameter, double and classically formed.
  • Soil Requirements: Well drained enriched soil.
  • Growth Rate: Moderate once established.
  • Pruning: Since rose bushes like to send out a strong lateral cane at the node just below a pruning cut, try to make pruning cuts about 1/4 inch above an "outward" facing leaf bud. By doing this and removing plant material from the center of the bush you will create a more open vase-shaped plant less susceptible to disease. Remove spent flowers to encourage rebloom.
  • Foliage: Glossy, medium green
