  • Height: 2-3 feet.
  • Spacing: 3-4 feet.
  • Depth: Set at same level it is growing in the container. Water weekly the first season.

  • Light Required: Full Sun to Part Shade
  • Color: Blue
  • Foliage: Deciduous, gray-green, lancelot leaves, new growth is silvery.
  • Blooms: Mid-summer to frost.
  • Zone: 4-8
  • Form: Deciduous flowering shrub.
  • Flower Form: Dense cluster of very small, fluffy blue blue flowers whorled around the stem ends.
  • Soil Requirements: Fertile, well-drained garden loam.
  • Growth Rate: Moderate to fast growth rate.
  • Pruning: Prune early spring; when forsythia begins to bloom.
  • Comments: All parts of this plant are aromatic making it one of the best to draw in bees and butterflies. A well grown plant is covered with the beautiful misty-blue flowers in late august. In northern climates it will usually die back like a buddliea in winter, but the roots are perfectly hardy. Best flowers are achieved from plants cut short each spring, blooms on new growth.
