Hunt Fig Tree

Adapted to the humid Southeast.

  • Excellent for fresh eating
  • Small fruits with fewer seeds
  • Very cold tolerant
One of the best fig trees for home gardeners, Hunt Fig Tree is a reliable producer of good crops of quality figs and is more cold tolerant than many other fig varieties. Its long-necked, violet-brown fruits are smaller than many other varieties and have fewer seeds. The light red flesh has an interesting sweet flavor and is excellent for eating fresh. Hunt Fig Tree is well adapted to the humid, rainy areas of Southeastern states. Fruits ripen in July. Self-fruitful. Zones 7-10.
