El Gordo Hybrid Melon Seed

Fruits up to 30 pounds.

  • Extra-large 15-20 lb. fruit
  • Small seed cavities
  • Excellent disease resistance
El Gordo Hybrid Melon is proof that you can grow big fruits without sacrificing flavor. When we grew this medium-netted cantaloupe in our test gardens, we were amazed by its size. Some of the fruits grew up to 30 lbs. each. But we were even more surprised when we cut open the fruits and saw the beautiful orange flesh and small seed cavities. It was picture perfect—and the flavor was sweet and flavorful! This is a great cantaloupe for feeding a family or a group—and for impressing others with its size. The plants exhibit excellent disease resistance, too. 85 DAYS.
