Bold color doesn't get much easier than this. Dwarf Double Persimmon Daylily produces flamboyant, paprika-hued, 4-in., double flowers veined in red throughout the summer. The vigorous plants flower early, repeating all season. The slightly fragrant flowers attract butterflies, too. Growing just 18-24 in. tall, this smaller daylily is easy to fit into gardens and borders. Its narrow, straplike, medium green foliage stays attractive throughout the growing season. A low-maintenance perennial, it grows best in full sun to partial shade. Zones 3-9.
