  • Botanical Name: Rudbeckia fulgida
  • Height: 2 - 3 feet.
  • Spacing: 12 - 18 inches.
  • Depth: Plant with crown just below the soil surface. Firm well and water in thoroughly.
  • Spread: 1 - 2 feet.
  • Light Required: Full sun to partial shade.
  • Color: Golden-yellow with nearly black centers.
  • Foliage: Coarse, dark green lanceolate to ovate leaves, 3 - 6 inches long.
  • Blooms: Mid-Summer to frost for several weeks.
  • Zone: 4 - 9 (-20° F.).
  • Form: Perennial. Erect, rounded.
  • Flower Form: Daisy-like flower heads 1 - 2 inches.
  • Soil Requirements: Well-drained, moderately fertile soil.
  • Growth Rate: Fast once established which takes approximately 4 - 6 weeks.
  • Pruning: After flowering, remove spent blooms to encourage repeat blooming. Allow foliage to die back.
