- Red blush skin and white flesh
- Large, freestone fruits
- Requires 400-800 chill hours
This nectarine is larger, tastier and more attractive than Goldmine, one of the most popular varieties among homeowners! Its white flesh is wonderfully sweet, but also has a sub-acid taste like yellow-fleshed varieties. The fruit is tops for eating fresh but also adds a sweet, complex flavor to pies, desserts and other recipes. Arctic Fantasy Nectarine is also very attractive, with a red blush covering 70-80 percent of the skin. The freestone fruits ripen in early August. Self-pollinating. Requires 400-800 winter chill hours. Zones 6-8.
