Produces enormous 15-27 inch butternut-type fruits with an amazing honey-sweet flavor that's much better than older butternut types such as Waltham. Fine-textured fruits can be used instead of pumpkin in recipes such as pies and soups. Argonaut is a sun-loving variety with a small seed cavity and delicious, medium-orange flesh. Individual fruits can weigh over 30 lbs. and will hold well in storage for up to 8 months. The vigorous vines are resistant to squash vine borer, have a strong canopy and are easy to grow.
