Alderman Reachables® Plum Tree

Our Most Cold-Hardy Plum!

Developed at the University of Minnesota, Alderman is an extremely cold-hardy plum tree. Its huge, dark red, sweet and juicy clingstone fruit ripens in mid-July. Its gorgeous spring blooms and brilliant green foliage make it a good choice for the edible landscape. Can bear one year after planting. Pollinate with Superior Plum Tree. Zones 3-7.

Now available in Reachables™ size! Stanley™ Reachables™ Plum Tree produces full-sized fruits, but on a smaller tree. That makes it easier to fit into your garden, orchard—or even a container. It's also easier to manage than full-sized trees. One person can prune, spray, net and harvest the tree—all while standing on the ground. Note: Because their full-sized fruits grow on smaller trees, Reachables™ require a tree support.

Easy to Plant! The fully leafed-out Reachables™ tree ships with a bamboo stake that provides temporary support until replaced with a sturdy tree support. The tree is potted in an Ellepot. Made of biodegradable paper, Ellepots can be planted directly into the ground.

NOTE: We are unable to ship our trees to PO Boxes at this time.
