What bulbs do you plant in the spring?

Usually summer blooming bulbs, like lilies, dahlias, calla lilies, gladiolus, begonias and Dutch iris, are planted in the spring.

Some spring-planted bulbs are called tender bulbs because they are not cold hardy. Tender bulbs such as dahlias, calla lilies and gladiolus, must be dug up, or lifted, in the fall and stored indoors over winter in northern grow zones.
