"i have been growing candy corn for over three years and before now it was amazing far better than any other variety in flavor pest resistance and germination my family and the bees loved it but now that gurneys is making all of there seed treated i will never buy anything from them again! the supposedly improved corn seed is not improved at all far less than ten percent of what i planted actually grew and what did grow tasted dreadful and killed my bees colony collapse disorder the ""treatment"" that they give the seed is basically smothering it in systemic pesticides and oils.i will miss my candy corn. "

Kandy Korn

I have a very short growing season here and have had very little success with corn over the years. Even this year when the season started very late, I was able to grow this variety with success. The stalks were over 10 feet tall and each one had 4 to 5 ears of corn on them. They were very large, and very sweet. We had 2 50 ft rows of corn and were able to eat plenty of fresh corn, share quite a bit and still put 30 bags in the freezer. It freezes well, barbques well, cooks well and holds it's flavor well. I will continue to grow Kandy Korn!!

The only complaint I have about this corn is its not very sweet. The stalks grew incredibly well. From planting to harvest was right at 12-14 weeks. The ears were all big and full of kernels. I wont be planting this again because I like sweet corn to be sweeter then this. But if you like a more mild tasting variety of corn....I would definitely recommend this

My dad has planted acres of this on your farm for a long time. Its so much better than anything you can buy I would never think of eating any other kind. Freezes great and very few worms. He fertilizes with chicken manure and this corn loves it.

I have grown different sweet corn for over 35 years. Kandy Korn is one of the most enjoyable corns I have tasted. I wish you could get this at road side stands, Kandy Korn is also colorful and tightly wrapped , which I feel keeps some of the bores away. One of the best.
