Blue Wisteria Tree

Honey-Sweet Fragrance

  • Clusters of fragrant flowers
  • Vigorous vine
  • Deer and drought resistant
Foot-long clusters of delicately hued, fragrant lavender flowers cascade from sweeping branches in the summer time. Velvety green seed pods follow and ripen in the fall. Grows 6-8 ft. tall and sometimes larger. Also called Chinese wisteria, Blue Wisteria Tree is a deciduous vine that grows vigorously. Prune regularly to keep it in tree form or it will revert back. Over time, the vine can become twisted and massive. Attracts butterflies. Grows best in full sun. Once established, it is both deer resistant and drought resistant.
