Sweet Bell Pepper Hybrid Mix Product Details

Make your vegetable garden carnival-like with peppers in the Sweet Bell Pepper Hybrid Mix. These bell peppers grow in a rainbow of colors, from bright green, golden yellow, deep orange, crimson red to royal purple. Sweet tasting and crisp, the plants take 65 to 80 days to mature from the time of transplanting and have a yield of around 60 pounds for every 100 foot row.

Germinate sweet bell pepper seeds indoors at a temperature of at least 70 degrees F, about 8 to 10 weeks before the last spring frost date. Transplant the seedlings into well-drained, fertilized loam soil with 18 to 24 inches between each plant. Rows of these self-pollinating annuals should be 24 to 36 inches apart. Capsicum annuum thrive in hardiness zones 3 to 10, like full sun and may grow to a height of up to 3 feet.

Leave the peppers on the plants for full color, rich sweetness and good vitamin C levels. Harvest easy-to-grow sweet bell peppers in myriad colors for an almost endless variety of meals.

These plants were very hardy as the leaves were all stripped off by a rabbit early in the season but the plants returned to produce a nice yield. Most of the peppers were green but did get a few purple ones, which was fun! Going to plant again!

I have tried these seeds for 2 years now. The first year I could not get them to grow. The second year I got 4 plants to grow and got 1 tiny pepper pepers from them. I will be trying a different type of pepper this summer!
