Sunrise Honeyberry Plant

Even Better than Blueberries

  • Sweet-tart berries
  • Ripens ahead of strawberries
  • Few, if any, pest and disease problems
  • Grows 3-4 ft. tall
  • Ideal for edible landscape
  • Requires pollinator (Early Blue recommended)
Start fruit season with intensely flavorful honeyberries. They're easy to grow and produce wonderfully flavored, sweet-tart berries. Our research team describes the flavor as "blueberries with an attitude." Sunrise doesn't have the bitterness sometimes found in other varieties. The fruits ripen just ahead of strawberries in late May-June. Because they are early-ripening, there are virtually no pests or diseases that bother the fruit—and no sprays are needed. Resistant to leaf burn. Grows 3-4 ft. tall, and our top recommendation for production. Because another variety is needed for pollination, we recommend Early Blue. Zones 3-8.
