Summer Cheer Daffodil adds charm and fragrance to the garden and cut-flower arrangements. Growing 10-12 in. tall, Summer Cheer produces clusters of fragrant, 1-in. ivory flowers that have just a touch of yellow. They're sure to light up front borders, patio containers or cut-flower arrangements. Unlike many other daffodils, Summer Cheer can be planted in the spring, about 6-8 weeks before blooming in the summer, after other daffodils have faded. After its first year, Summer Cheer Daffodil blooms in the spring. Deer tend to avoid. Plant bulbs in full sun to partial shade. Zones 3-8.

  • Form: Upright. Floriferous: usually three to eight blossoms on a strong stem, though 20 is possible. Petals, (perianth segments) are rounded and may be somewhat crinkled. Cup is very short.
  • Flower Form: Petite, double blooms 1 1/2" across.
  • Soil Requirements: Rich, moist, but well-drained soil.
  • Growth Rate: Moderate
  • Pruning: Let foliage mature and die down naturally. The leaves are providing nourishment for bulbs to produce future growth and blooms.
